Bridal Make-up and Hair - Questions and Answers

Where is the wedding trial held?
It is usually held at your home or place of your choice. We are all mobile artists. You may also request to come to us.
How far in advance should I have a trial?
It is completely up to you! The usual time is between 4-12 weeks. This way we still have time to recommend an effective skin/hair care regime, if necessary. We recommend 4-12 weeks as this allows us to gauge more or less what we will be working with e.g hair length.
Does everyone have to have a trial?
No, we appreciate it is difficult getting everyone together all on one day. If a trial is not conducted on a particular member of the party then we will just take some details so that we are prepared for the day. This will just help with timings etc. However trials are recommended to ensure the perfect style!
Do I need to bring anything to the trial?
It is helpful if you have any hair accessories or a veil so we can work the look around these. Apart from that, we will bring everything else you will need.
Do you bring hair extensions to the trial?
If you think you will require hair extensions, let us know and we can bring a sample to the trial. This sample will give an idea of look and feel of the extensions, yet will often be of a wrong colour for your hair.
There are a wide variety of colours and types of hair extensions and we can advice which ones will be best for you on the day of your trial.
How long does the trial usually take?
This will obviously depend upon what is required and how many people there are but on average 1.5- 2 hrs per person.
Will It be the same artist/stylist on my wedding day?
Yes always. In the unlikely event your artist becoming ill we will do our best to supply an alternative and supply them with all the info that was taken from the trial, or offer a full refund.
What will happen on the wedding day itself?
Everything will be arranged with you on the trial to fit in with your needs. We usually get people ready in the order of bridesmaids, mother of the bride/groom then bride, so that the others are ready to help the bride get into her dress!!
How long will you need on the day?
After the trial we will give you the timings for the day and where possible in what order we will place everybody.
What products will you/do you use on my hair?
We use a variety of brands including L'oreal Professional, Tigi, Bumble & Bumble and Redken. We will carefully choose the correct products for your hair type and the style we are trying to create.
What make-up brands will you/do you use?
Some of the make-up brands that will be used are Clinique, Nars, MAC, Stila, Chanel and Bobbi Brown. We will pick the best make-up for your skin type and the look we are trying to achieve- but only the best will do!
My skin is sensitive how can you help?
During your consultation/trial we will analyse your skin and ask you a series of questions to ensure we will not use any products that you know react with your skin. We will then only use products that are designed for sensitive skin types. If in the unlikely situation you were to react we will remove all make-up and try something new. This is so we are well prepared in advance of the day.

What areas do you cover?
We mainly cover Surrey, Kent and the South of England. We are based both in Kent and Surrey , yet we also have team members is South London, and Sussex.
We will consider all areas of the country. Please enquire even if you live outside the designated areas. We may charge a small travel fee but this will be included in your quote.
Do you offer any discounts?
A 10% discount will often be given to any weddings in Jan, Feb, March weddings, however this is often dependant on how busy we are!
Other offers and discounts vary throughout the year, please ask or check the website for more information.
We also offer a discount if you book our recommended photographers or Video company.
Do you offer any package prices?
Due to the wide variety of demands we don't currently offer any package system. We always strive to keep our prices competitive without compromising the high level of products used or service offered. Please check out our prices page.
When do I leave a deposit?
A deposit is required to secure your wedding date, as we have a high demand on our services during peak wedding season. This deposit will be refunded, within a 2 week cooling off period of the trial date. If you decide to cancel after these 2 weeks the deposit will not be refunded, this is because we will often have turned away other weddings.
How can I pay?
We accept payment by cheque or bank transfer up to a week before the wedding date, or cash on the day of the wedding.
