The winter plays havoc with your skin leaving it feeling tight and looking dull- just like the weather! to get it back up to scratch check out this skin regime to help give a boost and get your skin Spring ready!

Throughly cleanse skin with a hydrating cleanser, massage into the for a minute and then rinse with luke warm water. Hot water will dry out the skin too much. For an added glow rinse skin with cold water. I like Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution as its creamy so will not strip skin of all its moisture.

1) Using an exfoliator will help boost circulation in the skin and get rid of any dead skin and help your moisturiser absorb deeper. Try Clinique 7 day scrub. This is quite creamy so will not dry out your skin.

2) Use an alcohol free toner to tighten pores and cleanse any remaining cleanser. For added hydration I like to spritz my skin with Dermalogica Multi Active Toner.

3) Boost your skin and help add moisture by using a booster or Serum. This will double up with your mosituriser for hydration and there are lots to help target specific needs. For anti-ageing try Estee Lauder Advanced Repair Serum, for dry skin try Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement and for sensitive skin and redness try Dermalogica Gentle soothing booster.

4) Moisturise This is key to perfect looking skin. Massage in a good cream in circular motions for a minute or so. I like Bobbi Brown Hydrating moistriser for this winter as it smells fab and the moisture really sinks and and makes skin feel plump and never dry.

A simple wedding hair up-do style, with soft wedding make-up yet strong dark eyes. Not for everybody, yet a very on-trend look for 2012 and easier to pull off as a bridesmaid rather than a bride.

I loved the Royal wedding and here are a few products that I would use to recreate this wedding make-up look.

Firstly cleanse and tone skin, I like to use Dermalogica Special cleansing gel and Multi active toner. To create that special glow to the skin apply Dermalogica's Hydration Mask and leave on the skin for 10 minutes. This will then plump up the skin making it ready for moisturiser. Use a moisturiser for your skin type. Bobbi Brown Vitamin Face moisturiser is really good for most skin types and the perfect base for foundation. Benefit Eye con eye cream is great to smooth lines and brighten up under the dark circles.

The base: Apply Pro Lumiere by Chanel in natural to the centre of the face and using a foundation brush spread outwards, blend until flawless. To cover dark circles I would apply Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer. The corrector lightens the area and the concealer helps cover them up! Start at the darkest part of the eye and blend. Finish the look by applying Laura Mercier Secret Camoflage powder with a large powder brush.

Kate Middleton had lovely tanned skin and a pink rosy cheek. I would apply Nars Bronzing powder in Laguna all over the face and then Nars blusher in Orgasm to the apples of the cheeks.

On her eyes she went for a subtle smokey effect apply Mac eyeshadow in Vanilla all over the eye to open up the eye and make it appear more awake. Then using Mac eyeshadow in Print apply this to the crease of the eye. She added her trade mark eyeliner defining all the way around the eye, use Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye liner pencil in Zero.

To frame the face use Benefit Brow zings to fill in any gaps you have in your eye brows. The wax in this kit will help keep any unruly hairs in place.

Lips: Get rid of any dead skin using a lip exfoliant and then apply a lip balm. Line all over the lips with Max Factor lip liner in Rose. This will help act as a base and make lipstick last longer. Finally apply Chanel Rouge Coco shine lipstick in Boy.

Then to the airbrushing and Airbase foundation shade 1, I made sure to blend well, especially round the jaw line.

As it is coming out of winter season and most skin shades are a tone lighter than wanted at the moment I use the Airbase blusher and bronzer to add colour to the face and cheeks. On top of this airbrush blusher I added a dash of NARS Blush in orgasm, I applied it hi on the cheek bone for glowing cheeks and fresh colour.

The Eye Focus

For the eyes I used Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer by dabbing it into the darkest part of the eye and then blending it into the surrounding area. A good tip is to choose a colour slightly lighter if you have really dark circles.

Then I advise using MAC Paintfly, this will even out the colour of your eyelid and make the eye makeup last longer - (all your wedding day). The main inspiration for this look stemmed from Dior 5 pan palette in pink/purple,

First I used a eyeshadow brush to apply the pink colour all over the lid. Then secondly I blend the purple shade with a fluffy brush into the corners of the eyes. Then I apply the liner below and above the lashes using a flat eyeliner brush to line all the way around the eyes. On top of all this, I add the shimmer by gently pressing this on top of the colour with my finger. Dot the White shadow in the inner corner of your eyes to brighten your eyes.

I used my favourite YSL mascara to darken and lengthen the lashes, by applying two coats you can achieve great volume and definition without the need for false lashes (or too many at least!).

Finish the Look

I then used a MAC pencil and lipstick in my favourite shade. First apply the pencil all over the lips this will help lipstick stick and last a little longer. Apply lipstick with a lip brush to get the best lip shape. Finish with a generous amount of clear or pink gloss

This is why I am starting to do short webcam tutorial type videos hosted on YouTube, as these are allot quicker to get up and less time consuming. The quality is not great at the moment - however this will improve soon! For now please enjoy my first self-shot video tutorial on wedding airbrush make-up.

The best 5 handy tools to help keep you look wonderfully groomed:

1. Eye lash curlers: These are one of my favourite tools, I always like curled lashes as it makes them look thicker and longer! Try Shu Uemura for the best lash curlers! At the moment check out their limited edition in gold!! Because a girl deserves to be pampered!

2. Tweezers- How could we function with out them?! Great for getting rid of unwanted strays. I like to use them to help get a grip on false eyelashes! Tweezermans are must haves! Benefit have teamed up with tweezerman to produce some lovely ones. An ideal present for your bridesmaids!

3. Sponges and powder puffs. I mainly use brushes and fingertip when applying make-up but sponges are an ideal way to blend away any harsh lines. Also good for applying cream products. A powder puff is perfect for pushing powder into the skin. and to mop up any oily areas. Ruby and Millie do the best sponges and Powder puffs, they are great quality and easy to wash.

1.	Eyelash adhesive and lashes- Try Duo eyelash adhesive this will work with all false lashes. It's perfect because it's white so you can see how much your applying but then dries clear, it doesn't have a strong odour like some adhesives do, and they will stay put all day but the glue is very easy to dissolve meaning no damaging your own lashes. Don't forget to team it with your fav falsies for a pretty bridal look!

5. Nail files and polish- No-one wants scruffy looking nails. Keep yours in tip top condition with a nail emery bored and perfect polish. Go for a french polish for your wedding day. Or if your a bridesmaid or guest why not match it with your outfit to lip colour. Nails Inc do the best range of colours from classic to on-trend, there is a colour to suit every occasion.

It takes your skin approximately 4 weeks, to completely renew itself, so get in good skincare habits early, to achieve glowing skin.
2)	Exfoliate your body and face 2 days before your wedding day. This will get rid off dull skin leaving you radiant on your wedding day.
3)	Get your nails done! Make sure your nails are in tiptop condition for those detailed wedding photographs!

1. YSL Mascara Waterproof Mascara in Black I love this one. I like the consistency, it's creamy and makes your eyelashes look lush! A full flutter is always great to finish off your bridal look. It will not smudge and is perfect if you have some tears.

2. Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Mascara- Makes lashes very long with any clumps. Perfect if you want wedding eyes that look polished and pretty but not too full on. Good for defining long lashes and getting into the corners as it has a thin wand.

3. Max Factor False Eye Lash Mascara in Waterproof- Make eyes defined and adds loads of volume. This seriously doesn't budge! A think wand but it is very flexible so you can still reach the corners. The dark colour is perfect for a smokey grey wedding look.

4. L'oreal Volume Million Lashes- I really like the fact that this comb type wand helps build up the volume without adding any clumps. Perfect for a glamourous wedding look without adding false eyelashes.

5. Estee Lauder Magnascopic Mascara- Perfect wand which helps lengthens lashes and boosts them to the max. Doesn't feel like your wearing lots of make-up. A great all round mascara perfect for all wedding looks great not only for the bride but for mothers and bridesmaids.

WATER-PROOF TIP-- Mascara formulas are much better than they used to be for not running every-time your eyes water. If your worried about using a mascara that is not waterproof, in case you have a few wedding tears, then try using Benefit's She Laq over the top of your mascara(wait for it to dry first). This handy little product can also double up as a lip sealant for your lips! Long lasting lipstick is always a bonus.

We are well into the wedding season now so I thought I would share a few things about the current wedding make-up trends and my favourite products!

1) The airbase makeup (airbrush make-up system) is going down a treat, its perfect for oily skins as it lasts all-day long with that perfect matte finish (helping to prevent shiny noses!). As it was designed for HD Films and television its sure to show your skin at its best for all your wedding photos.

1) Bronzed skin always looks great, so try Dior Bronze Matte Sunshine Bronzing Powder. I like to dust a little bit all over the face for a natural glow. I then add subtle shimmer to the apples of the cheeks, try the classic Bobbi Brown Shimmer brick!

1) For the eyes- Violet and purple colours were the big trends on the catwalk this season, so we incorporated this into some of our summer wedding looks. Using a combination of textures we were able to create different hues to suit all skin tones!

4) False Lashes!! As you can tell from my previous post I love false eyelashes! These have been even bigger this season than last! The demand has been high, especially now with the huge fab ranges to choose from. If you think they maybe over the top for your wedding look try YSL false eyelash mascara, its fab but don’t forget to buy it in waterproof!

The ranges on the market at the moment are extensive but fab!

Lots of my clients have been asking about these at the moment, so I thought I would give you a little info on the ones I like to use to help you pick your perfect lashes.

Eyelure: A great value range of lashes, suitable for all occasions. Look out for the Limited Edition ranges. I especially like at the moment the Girls Aloud Festival lashes, to glam up my make up with too much work! For weddings I like you use eyelashes No. 116.

Mac: Good mid-range pricing with a huge selection to choose from including some fantastic dramatic lashes.
I like the corner lashes(half lashes) which are wispy but dense. These really feel like your own lashes but give them a boost. If you want your eyes to look Cheryl Cole esq then try a set a these lovely lashes.

Shu Uemura: Perfect for adding glamour and lots and lots of drama. Lots of them being made up of feathers. They also do Premium lashes which come in a gift box, are individually crafted. They also do some which are Limited Edition. The Shu Uemura team will apply these for you as well! These are expensive but have a luxury quality about them. I say treat yourself....!

I have been using it everyday since I tried it!

Eyelights:
I first tried this in the morning after I didn’t have much sleep. This was the first make-up product I used and it made a huge difference to the appearance of brightening up my dark eye circles.

Glamour Colour Gloss- Champagne Pink
A great alternative to lipstick. I loved this gloss because of its gorgeous pinky tone and shimmer, very girly.
